The Post Season! Click Here for news

Mudville Wins World Series! 4 to 2

Overcoming The Nine proved to be too difficult for the Dreams. Congratulations to Rob Porter and the Mudville Nine for uniting the Governor's Cup and the World Series title, a fear rarely accomplished in WHAFL!

Swedes Win Post Season Tournament! 4 to 2

In the PST, the Swedes won with relative ease. After going down two games to one to the Silver Sox, the Swedes went one to win the next three to win the WHAFL 12 Post Season Tournament, their second tourney win. Congrats to Robert Ericson, General Manager.

Tight Finish in Baker Division! Series is Settled.

Dreams win the pennant! Dreams win the pennant! The Dreams won in dramatic fashion the Baker Division pennant Series

Congratulations are in order for the Dyersville Dreams GM, Brent Porter for winning the Baker Division and for Rob Porter for winning the Teacher Division!

Team Home Run Race

The champion has fallen. The Corn Wolves usually win the team home run race, but since this season the theme of WHAFL raided most of their talent base, we have a new home run leader. Newcomers Moville and their Killer Clowns belted out more homers than any other team.

In other news, the Sox managed to belt out more home runs than a couple of teams, in spite of the fact they play in the second largest stadium in WHAFL. The Swedes may be swinging but their home stomping grounds, Griffith Stadium-the largest in WHAFL, may have kept their total down.

Mudville wins their first Governor's Cup

Congratulations go out to Mudville, this year's Governor's Cup award winners! The Governor's Cup is awarded to the team with the best regular season record! Mudville adds this distinction to it's trophy case and has entered the ranks of the truly elite in WHAFL's history.

Theme for WHAFL 13

Right now, I'm pretty pleased to be finished with WHAFL 12 and it's too early to be thinking about next season, but I am in favor of continuing if there is interest. I'll need to take a break and see how much spare time I'll have before I can set a date. Keep in touch and I'll keep you informed.

I'd like to continue the decade thing and go back to the 80's next. I think WHAFL 13 will feature only players who made appearances in any of the years from 1980-1989. As much as I don't like it, the DH probably be used. This will make people have to do some research again. Digging through the encyclopedia is half the fun of having a fantasy team. The draft will probably be help via e-mail again, since I have moved even further away from Sioux City. Until then, I've really enjoyed this season and hope you have as well! Later all!
