The Results Window

There are usually two ways to access the full text of an article.

Full Page Image provides you with pages that appear much like those you would find in the actual journal issue. Pages will include images if they are present in the article. The Full Page Image is a PDF (Adobe Portable Document Format) document that can only be retrieved if you have the Adobe Reader installed on your computer. To download and install this free reader program, go to the Downloads page at the Clarkson College website.
Full Text leads you to full text that may or may not include pictures and illustrations. Full Text documents usually load faster than Full Page Image documents.

The Expert Search Window

After you have run several searches, you can click on the Refine Search button in the Results window to see a list of all your searches. The display shows you the identifiers for each search (S1, S2, S3, etc.). As pictured above, these may be used to combine searches.
