I am the oldest of ten children and attended grade school and high school in West Point, Nebraska, in the old school buildings. I attended Chadron State College located in the beautiful Pine Ridge area of the Nebraska panhandle where I met my husband, Steve. I graduated in 1974 with a B.A. in Art. While my husband attended Baylor College of Medicine's Physician's Assistant program in Houston, I worked in the Medical Illustration department. My husband served as a medical officer in the Army Medical Service Corps, and while stationed in Mainz, Germany, our daughter Erika was born in Wiesbaden. We moved to Hastings, Nebraska, in 1986, where I currently teach graphic arts and web page design in the Media Arts department at Central Community College. Currently I am the newsletter editor for the Adams County Genealogical Society and the Nebraska Press Women, and the web designer and administrator for the Sandy Dennis Foundation, the Nebraska Art Teachers Association, and the Cuming County NeGenWeb. Formerly, I was president of the Hastings Art Club and newsletter editor for the Nebraska chapter of the Oregon-California Trail Association.
