COCKSHUTT

20 ROW CROP
(1952-1957)

The Cockshutt 20 was the third model in the Cockshutt line, it appeared in 1952 and was built through 1957.  The 1956 & 1957 production was painted the later two tone paint colors and marketed as the Black Hawk Deluxe.  Prior to S/N 963, the first production 20's had a 124 Cubic Inch F124 Continential four cylinder engine, although it was tested at Nebraska with the F140 (140 cu. in) in June of 1952.  Production was changed to F140 before the end of first years production.  With the larger engine it had 29 horsepower.

This Canadian built tractor, serial Number 455 has the F124 engine, a four speed Clark transmission with drop axle final drives and is the only Cockshutt built tractor that does not have the independent PTO.  This tractor has the optional three point hitch, PTO, belt pulley and the early square type adjustable front axle.
