This 550 Cockshutt tractor was built in Oliver's Charles City, Iowa plant on the day after Christmas in 1963.  It was shipped the same day to Brampton, Ontario Canada.  It is powered by a 155 Cubic Inch four cylinder gasoline engine. The transmission has six speeds forward, two speeds in reverse. It has a three point hitch with remote hydraulics.  It rides on 6.00 x 16" front and 13.6 x 26" rear tires.

With Oliver's purchase of Cockshutt Farm Equipment in 1962 the Charles City built Oliver 550 tractor became available to the Candian market. The first tractors marketed in Canada were painted the traditional Cockshutt colors, red body with cream hood, fenders and wheels.  The later production tractors were painted all red with white wheels.
