COCKSHUTT
Like the Oliver 60, it has a 3 5/16" X 3 3/4" bore and stroke four cylinder engine, rated at 18 HP on the belt, and was available in either KD (Kerosene/Distillate) or HC (high compression-Gas) fuels. The Cockshutt is identical to the Oliver 60 with the exception of 15 part numbers and it's red coat of paint. The Cockshutt tractor serial number plate shows that the tractor was built by The Oliver Farm Equipment Co in Charles City, Iowa USA.
This tractor is a 1947. I purchased it at Almer, Ont Canada in 1987. The tractor has the opitional belt pulley, PTO and fenders. It still has the Canadian built tires.
This Cockshutt 60 has been shown at three Summer HPOCA shows, Charles City, IA in 1990, Madison, SD in 1993 & Cedar Falls, IA in 2000. This tractor is currently on display in the Floyd County Museum in "Oliver town" Charles City, Iowa.
