OLIVER

66 Row Crop Diesel
(1951 - 1954)

Threshing at Camp Creek Antique Machinery & Threshers, 07,16, 05

Although production of the model 66 began in 1949, There is some differences of opinion as to when Oliver started installing the Diesel engine in the 66.   The 66 was rated at 25 horsepower.   A check of the engine serial number indicates that this tractor’s engine is a Super 66 and was shipped as a repair part.   The engine has a bore and stroke of 3 1/2” x 3 3/4” resulting in a power gain to 36 hp in the four cylinder engine.

The nice thing about this tractor is that the fuel man doesn’t wear out the gravel in your driveway.   This tractor was given to me by Howard Fishko, former Oliver dealer in Omaha.   I restored it in 1985.   This tractor has the adjustable front axle, however, it does not have the optional hydraulics.   The tractor is a very good match for a Oliver Plowmaster 2 btm. 14" plow.

This tractor and a 2 btm. Plowmaster 100 were shown at the 2004 HPOCA Summer Show at Madison, SD.
