How do you labor or work? Do you do it like Jesus is right there or as if it is for him? You should. Everything you do and say should be done or said as if you were saying it to Jesus.

11 Cor 5:9 Wherefore we labor, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
12 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that you may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.
13 For whether we be beside ourselves (out of our minds or insane), it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
14 For the love of Christ constrains(holds us together) us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth (from now on) live to themselves, but to him which died for them, and rose again.
16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be you reconciled to God.
21 For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Col 3: 1 If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection (to be wise or to set one’s mind toward) on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with him in glory.
5 Mortify (to destroy the strength of) therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence (lusting after that which is forbidden), and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6 For which things' sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience:
7 In the which you also walked some time, when you lived in them.
8 But now you also put off all these; anger (temper), wrath (extreme anger), malice (a desire to hurt), blasphemy (evil speaking), filthy communication (foul or obscene speaking) out of your mouth.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds;
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed (strengthened or made to grow) in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels (passion or heart) of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do you.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also you are called in one body; and be you thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

How do you labor or work? Do you do it like Jesus is right there or as if it is for him? You should. Everything you do and say should be done or said as if you were saying it to Jesus.
If we would do this then we would never say or do anything that he would not have us do or say. That doesn’t mean everything would be only good or positive, because we know that he admonished people, but it would be done or said like he would do it or say it. To do this takes renewing yourself in him and his word everyday. It also takes knowing him personally; the things that please him and the things that don’t. It is the only way it can be done. This is what Paul talked about-pressing toward the mark. Let us strive to be like the Master everyday.

Song:
Let us labor for the master from the dawn to setting sun. Let us talk about his wondrous love and care. When we find the day is over and our work on earth is done and the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there.
