pumped up on adreniline for hours after he was born. 22 hours and 16 minutes after ariving at the hospital, Jake Keil Wilson was delivered via emergency cesarean section. I was over whelmed. I can tell you that my  wife is the strongest person in the world. What a huge effort. She endured 18 hours of strong contractions including more than 6 hours of the most intense pain I can imagine. After doing everything possible to work Jake through the small opening of her pelvis, our midwife decided he just wasn’t going to make it. For a time, Jake’s heart rate was dangerously low. He’d had his head  smashed into the bony area of Susan’s pelvis for more that 20 hours, and he was starting to show the signs of fatigue. Not to mention Susan. She was so exhausted by noon of Sunday, that she  would pass out between contractions. I was worried about the both of them. There’s really no worse feeling than sitting back and watching someone you love in that much pain, and not being able to do anything for it. All right. I’ve really got to get back to the hospital, but I wanted to dump out these pictures. Hope you enjoy. - JKW 09/27/00

These pictures are in chronological order. Soon they may actually have explanations, but for now, just enjoy.

Sue feels the need to straigten up the delivery room at 5am Sunday morning.

After hours of trying to deliver naturally, we decided to get this over with before any more pain was inflicted on Sue or Jake.

Jake, only minutes after delivery. He was crying and healthy, and I was flying high. Susan had a little tear. Then she passed out again.

Once active labor started, the cleaning stopped.

JoAnn (our midwife) prepares for surgery.

Jake resting comfortably in the nursery about 30 minutes after delivery.
