Susan and her nurse mid-wife in pause mode while we all wait for them to cart Sue off to the O.R.

Sue jumped up on the operating table, and fought through the pain of the spinal. Then they laid her down and cut her open.

As soon as MiniMe was out, she was under the care of our friend and pediatrition, Dr. Niazi
|

|
They cleaned her off, and warmed her up. Susan shed a few tears. Any fear she had about the surgery before hand, had totally evaporated. It was worth all the pain now.

I just kept shooting pictures, holding Sue’s hand, and touch MiniMe. That was an awesome couple of minutes. There was a lot of love in that room.

Our daughter was pink and healthy and crying (just a little). It’s just amazing that through all of the trauma of this birthing thing, they can come through it so well.

|
Once they put Susan’s guts back in her, they stiched her back up and she got to hold her daughter for the first time.

Jake wasn’t quite sure what to think of this new little raisin that Dad was holding. He kind of stared at her and looked at me, then Grandma asked him to give the baby a kiss, and
he leaned over and pecked her on the head. I think he’ll get by OK.

As I left to come home and add these pics, I took one last picture of MiniMe laying on her side. I’m a proud papa.
