CW and SSB contesting; special event operations |
Several local hams enjoy putting together multi-operator efforts, so if you'd like to join in and learn (or just observe) "under fire", there are several opportunities to do so each year. The club station may also be available on contest weekends. Another good place to learn about contesting is at the LARC's annual ARRL Field Day effort. It's fun, it's low-pressure, it's a multi-mode HF/VHF operating event you shouldn't miss.
