Born in Lincoln, Nebraska 1951.  Baptized Fairhill United Presbyterian Church.  Fourth of five children born to Roger and Mary Ghormley.

Sometime Boy Scout, paper boy, and competitive swimmer.  Graduated LHS 1969.  Attended Nebraska Wesleyan 1969-70.  Graduated Anderson University, Anderson Indiana, 1973.  Married Jana Yahnig 1974.  Attended Anderson School of Theology 1974-76.  Graduated Trinity Evangelical Divinity School 1979, M.A. Old Testament.  Pastored Maud First Church of God, Maud Ohio 1979-82.  Attended University of Nebraska 1982-84  (no degree, Computer Science).  Employed Nebraska State Energy Office, 1984-89.  Employed MicroImages, Inc., 1989-present.
