The League of Women Voters
of Nebraska
How to Join
Join the LWVNE and add your voice to make things
happen.
We need you on our side as we continue to be A Voice for Citizens
and A Force for Change in Nebraska, promoting positive solutions to
public policy issues through community education and advocacy, and
building greater, broad-based citizen participation in the democratic
process. Remember--even if you haven't the time for active
participation, your membership alone will strengthen our voice.
Becoming a member of the League is as easy
as:
- Calling the League of Women Voters of Nebraska: (402) 475-1411
- Joining a local League if you live in or near one of the 4
local Leagues in Nebraska: Hastings, Seward, Lincoln/Lancaster
County or Greater Omaha. These Leagues are listed under Nebraska
Leagues.
- Completing the membership registration below and returning it
to the League of Women Voters of Nebraska. When you join the
Nebraska League, you become a member at two levels, the Nebraska
League and the national League. Your membership dues include a
subscription to The National Voter, the League's quarterly journal
to keep you up-to-date and informed on the issues and activities
in which the League is involved, and the Nebraska Voter, published
quarterly to keep you up-to-date and informed on the issues and
activities of the Nebraska League. Because we lobby at the local,
state and national levels, membership dues and other contributions
to the League of Women Voters of Nebraska are not
tax-deductible. The LWV is a nonprofit, nonpartisan
organization that receives contributions from a variety of
sources, including foundations, corporations, unions and
individuals. The LWV also receives significant support from its
members. The LWVNE ED FUND is a 501(c)(3)organization under
the Internal Revenue tax code.
