I never intended to adopt Danny, in fact,
I once said I'd never own an Australian
Shepherd. But, you know what they say about
"never say never".   I was surfing the
ASCA website looking for their calendar of
events.  I stumbled across their rescue site instead.
As I looked at all the Aussies up for adoption,
I spotted this little Red Merle dog, with the
naughtiest look in his eyes.  I said to myself,
"If I ever get an Aussie it will be one just like this!"
The next day, when I got home from work, my
sister had come for a visit, bringing her newest
foster dog--you guessed it, it was Danny!
I let her keep him for a week before I finally
caved in and filled out the adoption forms and
made him mine.

Nap Time
Danny taking a much needed nap.

He has the prettiest eyes and he's as naughty
as he looked, but he's tried Herding, and we're
working hard at Tracking.
He has his CGC and he earned his Rally Novice title
in July of 2007, but in the mean-time, he's
