The Nebraska Foundation for Visually Impaired Children provides assistance for educators and parents seeking advanced training opportunities in the State of Nebraska and nationally.

 

Since 1960, the NFVIC has helped educators and parents attend the following:

  2. Pilot Project for the integration of children with visual impairments
  3. Training classes through the University of Minnesota
  4. Optican training
  5. National Braille Press Association Convention
  6. Barkley Center
  7. Sixth Annual National Open Convention for the deaf/blind in Washington DC
  8. Summer Training Programs through State Services for the Blind
  9. Helen Keller Center
  10. Software Training
  11. Holiday Cooking Class
  12. Interpreters for the deaf/blind in the public schools
  13. Transition Team FairNational Technology Conferences
  14. Conferences relating to specific eye disorders

If you are an educator or parent seeking assistance to attend a class, workshop, fair, event, or convention, please write a letter of request to the NFVIC. In your letter of request, please state the following:
