Peace Be With You!

These were the first words of Jesus to His disciples after His resurrection.  They were scared, lonely and unsure of the future.  He stood among them and said "Peace be with you!"  And they "were overjoyed"!   John 20:19

There He stood, the Redeemer of the whole world, the one upon whom all sin for all time was placed.  All fear, all loneliness, all uncertainty, YOURS AND MINE, was carried by our Savior, into death and back to life again!  This beautiful Gospel message of a Savior who lived and died for you and for me brings PEACE! 

You cannot earn this peace, nor can you create it with money or things of this world.  It is a free gift earned for you by Him who died that you might live!  This is He of whom the Bible speaks - this is the PEACE that He promises to bring to all who hear the Word and receive His Sacramental gifts in Divine Worship: at the Font and at the Altar.   

May you be found with faith in this PEACE and in Him who has earned it and created it for you.
