“Nathaniel, son of William, was born at or near Coleraine, County Londonderry, Ireland, about 1692, and emigrated to America in 1725 with his wife Rachel Porter, who was his cousin. Nathaniel and his half-brother, Joshua, settled in Maryland on the east side of the Susquehanna River in Cecil County, near the Pennsylvania line. The half-brother James, took up his abode in what became Prince Edward County, Virginia. The other half-brother Willliam, for certain, and probably Samuel, settled in Pennsylvania.”
