Rationale
This lesson was designed for a student to review their basic multiplication facts. It is incredibly important for students to understand and know their multiplication facts because they are needed for a student to be successful as they build math concepts upon this foundation. For example, if a student is fluent at their multiplication facts, division is much easier to understand because they have the prior skills.

Procedure
• Activate the student's prior knowledge by doing a quick check with flash cards at the beginning of the lesson.
• Have the student begin the game, on grade level, choosing the multiplication game.
• Play the first round with the student explaining how to play.
• Have the student play independently, while being monitored by the teacher.
• Give the student a post assessment on multiplication facts.
Assessment
Teacher observation while the student is playing-the teacher can gain information about which factors the student needs additional support and strategies to understand.

Adaptations
Read the directions to the student at the beginning of each round.
Click the mouse for the student as they point on the screen to the answers.
Play the game without the Troggles, so they do not have to worry about a time limit.
Start the student on an easier level so they can get used to the game and then jump up a level.
Move the student to a quiet environment, away from distractions.
