The proceeds from this collection fund timely and effective emergency relief assistance to those who suffer from war, oppression, disease, and natural disaster. Through works of charity, Catholics stand in solidarity with the weak, the defenseless, and they sustain those who suffer. Thank you for your generous prayers and support.

FIRST FRIDAY: Time for confessions will be available from 8:30- 8:55am on July 4th. Mass is at 9am. Because this falls on July 4th when many people are on vacations and visits we will have a holy hour of adoration of the Most Holy Eucharist after Mass. The normal adoration schedule will resume next month.

FIRST SATURDAY: The Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary and praying of the rosary will occur after the 8am Mass.

FIREWORK STAND: The stand is open from 10am-10pm June 28 thru the evening of July 4th . Youth wanting to volunteer to help at the stand are welcome to ask at the stand how they can get involved. NEXT WEEK IS THE ANNUAL MISSIONARY VISIT: Fr. Innasi Raphael will be celebrating the Sunday Masses next weekend. He was invited by the Propagation of the Faith office and is from the Diocese of Kumbakonam, India. He will speak on the situation of the Diocese, which is 7823 square kilometers and in South India. Presently there are goals of constructing more than 20 new parish buildings. They now have 86 parishes and 527 mission stations. Many of the mission stations are so large that they have to be made independent parishes but they do not have the monetary ability to build a church. Every year, an average of 50 missionaries, young men and women, are sent to other parts of the world to serve God and His people as missionaries. About 60% of the Catholics are in poverty. Your fervent prayers and generous help are requested.

LIGHT WEIGH: This is a 12-week program that meets once a week to discuss a Catholic approach designed for spiritual growth and bodily trimming. There will be an orientation meeting in the church hall on July 1st at 7pm. There is also a group forming at North American Martyr Church, orientation June 30th at 7pm.

FOODNET: Foodnet is a program that provides food for those who could use some assistance. They could use one more upright refrigerator for temporary food storage. They serve food at the Denton Community Center on Mondays at 5pm. Volunteers to pick up food from area grocers or stores can be of great assistance. Please talk to John Hetcko or any people who work with Foodnet if you have questions.
