The Parking Meter God:
Learning How to Manifest What You Need

Do you believe that some people are luckier than others? Do you think that the sun shines only on select people and rain falls on all of the rest? Are there times when you feel like everything in life is a struggle and the whole world is out to get you? I know that I've felt that kind of adversity on many occasions. I've also come to acknowledge that much of what happens in your life depends almost entirely on your attitude toward daily living.

Let's take an example we can all relate to. How many times have you driven around a block over and over again looking for a parking space? Then you finally see a space open up, you hurry around the block to get it, only to be aced out by another driver! Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Many years ago, I learned the secret to finding a parking space from a woman who is married to a minister. Her secret? She prays to the Parking Meter God!

I thought the idea was quite insane when I first heard it. Praying for a parking space? At that time, I was not yet aware of the different laws of the universe and that this sort of thing really works. But having grown weary of always hunting for a parking space, I thought I'd give it a try. The first time I tried it - voila! A parking space appeared. And it worked the second time, and the third. It didn't take long to convince me that the Parking Meter God really exists. I even got to the point of manifesting parking meters with time remaining on them!

The method is quite simple: you never worry or fret about finding a parking space; you always go with the intention of finding a parking space; and you are confident in the belief that there will always be a parking space! Try it - with practice, it will work every time.

Creating Money

About 15 years ago, I attended a seminar for small businesses and expected to hear the usual things about accounting principles and taxes. The woman leading the seminar recommended a book called Creating Money, written by two channeled entities, Orin and DaBen, via Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer. As I looked around the room of about 60 owners of small businesses, I noted a great deal of skepticism, but I jotted down the name of the book and the authors. I was at the library the next day only to find out that every copy of the book in the city library system had been checked out during the last few hours! Perhaps there weren't as many skeptics in the audience as I had thought. I immediately called my favorite bookstore to order my own copy of the book.

It was with great optimism that I began reading the advice and exercises being offered by these two entities who don't exist in physical form. "How could these spirits know so much?" I wondered - they don't have a 401(k) or an IRA or even a savings account! But I was very open to the concepts, and open to the possibility that channeled entities exist (after all, I had read Shirley MacLaine's Out on a Limb!). So, I suspended any doubts of disbelief and began doing the exercises in the book. Within a matter of days, I had created the following:

• $100 from an unexpected source (this came so easily that I decided that the next time, I had to focus on a larger sum!)
• A free vacation to the Ozarks. A friend called to let me know that we could have free use of a condo in Hot Springs for a weekend, just by listening to a sales pitch; the friend's mother offered to pay the cost of a rental car and gasoline to make the trip.
• A freelance publishing job for $350.
• Cash from the money tree - One day I came home from lunch and as I got out of my car, I saw a dollar bill laying in the driveway. I picked it up, and another bill caught my eye. I picked that one up. Feeling a bit guilty, I looked to see if anyone was around who might have lost these, and I saw that bills were all over my back yard! There weren't just ones, but five and ten dollar bills as well. I collected nearly $40 from my yard by the time I had picked up all of the bills. I have no idea where they came from, no one was around to claim them, and they appeared right at a time when I wasn't sure how I was going to manage the next few days until pay day. From then on, I've never been concerned - I've always known - believed - that whatever I need would appear right when I need it.

This was all just a matter of taking the concept of praying to the Parking Meter God to the next level. You can't just wish for it or hope for it, you actually have to believe it.

Just this week, I was with a business colleague and as we got out of her car, I spotted a $10 bill laying by the curb. As I like to be able to spread the concept of creating money around, I did not pick up the bill, but said to her, "there's your bonus for the day!" She immediately picked up the bill and put it in her briefcase. She mentioned it several times during the day, so I know it was a day brightener for her.

Ask for Help

As I've grown in to middle age, I find that I tend to misplace things and forget where I've put them. I have to use this technique at least weekly to locate missing items. I'm sure you've been in this situation - you're running late and you can't find your car keys or your glasses. You're dashing about the house frantically looking in every nook and cranny, retracing your steps through every room of the house, even looking for the lost item in places where they could not possibly be.

Stop looking! Whether your belief system includes angels, spirit guides, the universe, or anything else, you can ask for help and get it. Quiet yourself for a few seconds, take a deep breath and ask your angel or your guide to locate the missing item. You'll suddenly see the item within your reach, or be taken to where the item is located. I've done this hundreds of times and it always works. You just have to let go and let the universe take over. Just last night I had misplaced my reading glasses and dashed about the house frantically, not knowing where I had left them. I even thought that I may have left them in my office. I stopped thinking about it and found an old pair to get me by. When I got up this morning, I opened the miniblinds in the dining room and there were my glasses, laying on top of the stereo. I didn't even remember being by the stereo and never would have thought to look there.

Whenever I locate my missing items, I always say "thank you" aloud as my appreciation for the help. I know that my spirit helpers will always be there.

So, no matter what you need - if it's a taxi, your next meal, the right people at the right time, believe in it and ask for it. You will receive exactly what you need.
