and a Day |

Eternity And A Day is the
spellbinding tale of one man's journey through his bittersweet past and fleeting present.
Alexandre (Bruno Ganz), a celebrated Greek writer who is terminally ill, prepares to leave
his seaside home forever. While packing, he finds a letter from his deceased wife, Anna.
She writes about an enchanted summer day they spent together thirty years ago. From that
point, Alexandre begins a strange journey through the present and the past. Along the way,
he meets a young Albanian immigrant threatened by a child-smuggling ring and resolves to
spend his final days taking the boy home. He realizes that while chasing the words of his
poems and novels, he has allowed moments of true happiness to escape. These are the
moments that he wants to bring back for a day
and for eternity.
