A Bennet man was arrested
June 1 on suspicion of third-degree sexual assault for allegedly touching a female
coworker inappropriately.
Octaviano (aka David) Sanchez, 45, of Bennet, was working with the
31-year-old woman at a Bennet business when the alleged assault happened, according to
sheriff’s reports. The woman reported that Sanchez inappropriately touched her
outside of her clothing, according to sheriff’s reports, and the contact was unwanted
and not solicited. Other coworkers witnessed the assault.
According to sheriff’s reports, the woman reported that the
contact and actions by Sanchez placed her in fear for her safety and she felt violated.
Stebbing said alcohol was most likely a factor in the alleged assault.
Sanchez was not in jail Tuesday, he added.
