Golf & fishing equipment stolen from rural Lincoln shed

By Mark Mahoney

A rural Lincoln shed along South 63rd Street was burglarized sometime between 5 p.m. July 23 and 10:30 a.m. July 26.

According to sheriff’s reports, someone entered a shed on the property just outside Lincoln’s city limits and took a golf bag with clubs, a five-gallon bucket of balls and a fishing tackle box that contained assorted lures and a Nebraska fishing license. The estimated loss was $1,610. According to sheriff’s reports, the shed is detached from the house and was unlocked at the time.

One of the people who lives on the property, a 50-year-old man, found that the items were missing and placed a lock on the shed, according to sheriff’s reports. Many other valuable items were undisturbed. There are no suspects, Stebbing said.
