Two Lincoln people arrested for alleged drug possession along West Denton Road

According to sheriff’s reports, deputies found Sandra Quinn, 47, of Lincoln, and Steven Sherman, 55, of Lincoln, walking east on West Denton Road near Southwest 44th Street after a passerby reported that they were arguing on the side of the road. It turned out their vehicle had broken down and they were walking to Lincoln, according to sheriff’s reports.

Quinn gave deputies permission to search her purse, and according to sheriff’s reports, a clear plastic bag containing a small amount of a white substance was found inside the purse, which allegedly pre-tested positive for methamphetamine. Quinn was arrested and has a docket call August 22 in county court on a charge of possessing a controlled substance.

Sherman was taken into custody on two active warrants, but Lancaster County Sgt. Andy Stebbing didn’t have information about the warrants. Sherman was also cited on suspicion of possessing marijuana less than one ounce and possessing drug paraphernalia after 10.4 grams of marijuana and a glass pipe with marijuana residue were allegedly found in his front, left pants pocket, according to sheriff’s reports.
