The Cortland quassicentennial celebration lasted four days and lots of people came to town to celebrate. Fred Potts, of Lincoln, and grandson Adam Hanau, of Cortland, paused before the parade Saturday to show off their patriotic pride. VOICE News wins NPA awards

The VOICE News won three awards at the Better Newspaper Contest held last Saturday, April 19, at the Nebraska Press Association Convention in Lincoln.

Reporter Logan Seacrest’s series "Homeschool on the Rise" won first place for a feature series in a Class D Weekly.

Reporters Mark Mahoney and Logan Seacrest won third place in the Class D in-depth writing category for their piece "Lancaster County Jail project comes under scrutiny."

The entire staff was honored with a first place award for best Signature Page in a Class D Weekly, for the Fourth of July fold-out flag section.
