Hugh Fulton BeallHugh Fulton Beall, 89, Cedar Falls, Iowa, was born in Roca on Feb. 24, 1919, to Hugh Josiah and Elma Crawford Beall. He died Saturday July 5, 2008, of natural causes.Educated in Roca and later at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Married Angeline Mulder December 25, 1940. Farmed, raised dairy cattle, worked for Atomic Energy Commission in Los Alamos, New Mexico, and was a construction superintendent for Beall Construction Company, Lincoln, and Central Contracting Corporation, Kearney. Was an excellent communicator who loved life and people. Traveled extensively, attending hundreds of communication organization conventions around the world. His friendly smile and love of people made him a favorite. Loved gardening, travel, spending time with his family, and visiting with others. Survived by: his wife, Melissa, Cedar Falls, Iowa; children: Larry and Sharon, Waverly; Connie, Salem, Oregon; and Judy and Jerome Brown, Iowa City, Iowa; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Florence Beall, Fayetteville, Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. Preceded in death by: first wife, Angeline; sisters, Vera Parker; Oma and Elizabeth Beall; and brothers, John and Robert Beall. Services were held at the Beall home at 3802 South 37th St., Lincoln, on Sunday, July 13. A celebration in Cedar Falls is scheduled for August. Memorials may be directed to the Aplastic Anemia and Myelodysplastic Syndrome Research Foundation; the March of Dimes; or the charity of your choice. |
