Lester L. Biehler

Lester L. Biehler, 96, Galesburg, Illinois, died Sunday, September 7, 2008. Born in Shelby County, Illinois, to Louie and Louise (Popendieker) Biehler. Army Air Corp WWII Veteran. Retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

Survivors: daughters, Judith Logan, Holland, Jane Peterson, Dahinda, Illinois; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Biehler, Shelbyville, Illinois; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 13, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Shelbyville, Illinois. Burial: Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Arrangements are by Howe and Yockey Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Memorials may be given in Lester’s name to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1201 N. Chestnut St., Shelbyville, IL 62562.
