James EisenhauerJames "Chester" A. Eisenhauer, 73, Syracuse, died Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Born November 24, 1934, in Unadilla to Albert and Mina (Goering) Eisenhauer. Married Geraldine (Gerri) Walter on June 14, 1963, at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Syracuse.Farmer, raised Holstein cattle. U.S. Army Korean Conflict 1956-1958. Member, Mid-Otoe County VFW #5547 and the Massie-Richards Post #100, American Legion. Member, Hope Lutheran Church, Burr; Hope Lutheran Church Council; served term on Unadilla School Board; member, Unadilla Central Groundhog Committee. Enjoyed being with his grandchildren and family. Survivors: wife, Gerri Eisenhauer, Syracuse; son, Allen Eisenhauer and wife, Debbie, Bennet; daughter, Janell (Jan) Moore and husband, Chris, Unadilla; five grandchildren; sisters, Albert Block and husband, Keith, Unadilla; Jane Wendt and husband, Bill, Milford; nephews, and many other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by: brother, Billy. Memorial services were held Friday, October 3, at Hope Lutheran Church, Burr. The Rev. Steve Billington. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in care of the family. Arrangements by: Fusselman-Wymore Funeral Home, Syracuse. |
