Jerry R. GouldieJerry R. "Bear" Gouldie, 62, Beatrice, died Sunday, September 7, 2008. Born July 30, 1946, in Beloit, Kansas. Married Marge Clancy October 5, 1968, at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Beatrice.Served in Nebraska Army National Guard. Worked in construction and at Farmland and the Farmers Co-op. Partner of Plymouth Electric and Automotive, plant manager Plymouth Manufacturing, owned 15th Street Liquor. Enjoyed talking and joking with the customers and loved to drag race, build engines, hunting, playing KENO, having a few drinks and socializing with friends. Survivors include: wife, Marge, Beatrice; sons, Jason Gouldie and wife, Kim, Filley, Dr. Judd Gouldie and wife, Ann, Lincoln; six grandchildren; brother, James Gouldie, Washington. Preceded in death by: parents, Raymond and Opal McCord Gouldie; brother, Gary; sister, Donna Volkl. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, at Fox Funeral Home, of Beatrice, with Father Steve Major and Pastor Donald Legacie officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial of the cremains will be at a later date. A memorial has been established to the familys choice. |
