Charlie L. Hopp, Jr.

Charlie L. Hopp Jr., 88, died on Friday, September 26, 2008. Born January 4, 1920, in Bennet to Charlie Hopp Sr. and Edith (Kempkes) Hopp. Married Virgina Mary Matthews on September 2, 1959, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Palmyra.

Survived by: wife, Mary Hopp, Bennet; daughters, Heidi Hopp, Bennet, Jeannie Lancaster and husband, Rob, Lincoln; sisters, Dorothy Ullsperger, Syracuse, Edith Steinhoff, Syracuse; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 30, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Palmyra with Father Chris Barak officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Legion Hall in Bennet. Fusselman-Wymore Funeral Home in Syracuse is in charge of arrangements.
