George H. Hornby

George H. Hornby, 98, Adams, formerly Syracuse and Walton, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Born May 14, 1910, on a farm near Walton to John and Martha (Handrock) Hornby. Married March 4, 1974, to LoRainne Schell in Walton.

Farmer. Loved cats and loved to dance, telling jokes, and reading, raised cattle, crops and hogs.

Survived by: stepson, Kenneth Wendt, Lincoln; niece; nephews.

Preceded in death by: wife; brothers, John, Elmer, Clarence and Harry.

Funeral services were held on Friday, August 1, at the Fusselman Wymore Funeral Chapel, 644 Park Street, Syracuse. Officiating: The Rev. William Dressen. Cemetery: Park Hill Cemetery.
