Grace R. PardeGrace R. Parde 92, Adams, died in Adams on Wednesday, September 3, 2008. Born July 28, 1916, in rural Adams and attended Hooker Country School. Married Louis Parde on February 24, 1938, at the Zion Lutheran Church, rural Pickrell.Farmed at various locations before moving to Burr. Babysat in Burr, cleaned Lutheran Church, taught Sunday School, sang in church choir and was member of quilting group. Member of American Lutheran Church, Adams, and several extension clubs. Had large garden and enjoyed traveling and visiting her grandchildren. Survived by: sons, Orville Parde and wife, Doris, Adams; Merlin Parde and wife, Franki, Arlington, Virginia; Clarence Parde and wife, Faith, Sterling; and Dennis Parde and wife, Janoa, Salmon, Idaho; daughters, Carolyn Iverson and husband, Jon, Sioux City, Iowa; and Donna Walter and husband, Chuck, Lexington, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; seven brothers, Harm Harms and wife, Jaye; Jerry Harms and wife, Elaine; Willie Harms and wife, Norma; Eddie Harms and wife, Millie; Louie Harms and wife, Janet; Kenneth Harms and wife, Dodie; Robert Harms and wife, Dorothy; sister, Edna Brethouwer; brother-in-law, Kenneth Parde and wife, Irene; sisters-in-law, Lenora Parde and Leona Parde; Joyce Harms and Marlene Harms; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: husband, Louis; two grandsons; brothers, Marvin, John and LeRoy Harms; sisters, Tena Parde and an infant sister, Adeline Elizabeth Harms. Funeral services were held on Saturday, September 6, at American Lutheran Church, Adams, with Pastor John Brink officiating. Burial was at Hope Lutheran Cemetery, of Burr.
