Lois M. RickmanLois M. Rickman, 77, Beatrice, died on Saturday, September 27, 2008. Born December 25, 1930, in Crab Orchard. Graduated from Lewiston High School. Married Charles E. "Buzz" Rickman on September 25, 1952, in Sterling.Farmed near Crab Orchard until moving to Beatrice in 1980. Housewife and nurse aide from 1976 until 1980, then worked at B.S.D.C. as housekeeper until her retirement in May 1993. Member of Centenary United Methodist Church, of Beatrice, and 58-year member of Crab Orchard American Legion Auxiliary. Enjoyed gardening, traveling, going to auctions, sports, holiday get-togethers, baking, playing cards and dominoes, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include: daughter, Teresa Schoen and husband, Randy, Hickman; son, Mark Rickman, Lincoln; two grandchildren; great-grandson; sisters, Ilene Rickman and Delores Schultz and her husband, Bill, all Tecumseh; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Preceded in death by: husband, Charles "Buzz" Rickman. Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 30, with the Rev. David A. Bigley officiating. Burial: Crab Orchard Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Beatrice Good Samaritan Center Angels Landing with the funeral home in charge.
