John Schawang

John Schawang, 86, Falls City, widower of Marjorie, died Monday, July 14, 2008. Born in Barada to the late Nick and Katherine (Frederick) Schawang. U.S. Army veteran. Farmer.

Survivors: daughter, Barbara Pohlman, Sterling; brothers, Paul Schawang and Earl Schawang, both of Falls City; sisters, Ruth Gruver, Morrill, Kansas; Edna Michel and Mary Jane Weinert, both of Falls City; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held on Saturday, July 19, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Falls City. Interment: Falls City Catholic Cemetery. Dorr & Clark Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
